APARTMENT RESTORATION - CASTELLAMMARE DEL GOLFO

This historic property is steps away from Castellammare's landmark castle at the port with its foundation being that of the original stone wall jetting out from the castle which is approximately 1,000 years old. While it has incredible 360 views with romantic terraces and balconies overlooking the ancient piazza on one side and the sea on the other, it needed many upgrades.

Outside of updating the electric and plumbing, the original floors with Sicilian tiles were restored to their natural beauty and we actually uncovered some beautiful frescos under layers of paint that our master craftsmen were able to salvage and feature in the living area. Modern comforts were added through new air conditioning units and installing a large water tank under the floor which serves the updated kitchen and bathrooms. Castelo a Mare is definitely one of our properties that maintains its historic charm with modern updates that will be enjoyed for centuries to come.
